Event Committees
There are several event committees our directors, ambassadors, and members are encouraged to participate in. Each of our major events has its own committee:
- Annual Golf Classic
- Annual Members Meeting
- Scholarship Program - Cornhole Tournament
- Senior Citizens Christmas Luncheon
- Spring Tea Fundraiser
- Shop Small/Live Local in Mint Hill (to include, bags, pop up shop)
We believe in supporting small business and have formed a committee dedicated to doing just that with various events and initiatives to help encourage the community to shop small. This committee continues to grow in both size and scope, so far the events includes are: Shop Small & Support Local Bags and Pop Up Christmas Shop
The College Scholarship Program, instituted by the 2014 Board of Directors, is made possible by the support of Mint Hill chamber members, the business community and the success of its annual Golf Classic. The Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce awards a one-time scholarship of $1,000 to (1) male, (1) female, and (1) committees choice recipient, who plan to attend a 2 or 4 year college and reside within the incorporated limits of the Town of Mint Hill, and exhibit excellence in academic achievement, community involvement, extracurricular activities and proven leadership ability.
